the exciting future of the podcast.

the exciting future of the podcast.

I’m not after fame. Followers, likes, downloads and clicks mean nothing to me. I don’t let others define me or place me in a box. It’s happened before. But it won’t happen again.

This show isn’t a self-made shrine. It bears my name, my voice and my thoughts, but it’s not about me.

It’s about you. It’s about all of us.

Let me explain.

The self-help specialists we look up to have one thing in common: they’ve already found their way. They’ve made their mistakes and learned from them. And we, the audience, fawn over them, wondering how we can reach their levels. And when we fall short, we beat ourselves up, like a hamster caught in the never-ending wheel of comparison.

Rather than hear from people whose struggles ended long ago, we need to hear from those still going through the grind. The everyday twenty-somethings, not the life coaches yelling at us from afar.

That’s what this is about.

I don’t have it all figured out -- I’ll never claim to. I just left a good life behind in search of something greater. I may find it, or I may not. But that’s the point: I’m all over the place. Just like you. Just like all of us in this critical decade of our lives, our 20s, where we grow and learn and fail and fall.

And you’ll see, by hearing the stories from the people on this show, that you’re not alone. We’re all struggling. We’re all battling something. We all compare, and doubt, and question.

Despite not knowing “the way,” I feel like I’m on the right track. And I want to show you. So this is the only way I know how.

When I look back on the best times in my life, one thing always stands out: performance. Any time I stepped on a court, or a stage, or the front of the classroom, I felt at home. Like I could be me. Nerve-wracking? Of course. It’s not easy, especially when I put my most vulnerable self on display for the world to see.

But I do it for you. I feel you struggling. I see the indecision. I can sense the uncertainty. So follow along with me, and we’ll get through this together.
